Cecile Gauert is editor of the award-winning BOAT International’s US Edition and has been part of the yachting media since 2007 when she started with Yachts International. Following a career in journalism and hospitality, the UM journalism school graduate discovered the world of superyachts via a yacht broker and friend. A stint at the Fort Lauderdale-based office of the representative of Mangusta Yachts and Leopard gave her a broad overview of yacht sales, marketing, charter, and after-sales. From there, she combined her newly acquired knowledge of yachts with her writing skills, which led to an exciting career as a yacht writer and editor. Gauert is also co-chair of the prestigious BOAT Design & Innovation Awards and a frequent moderator at industry events.
