Informa Global Exhibitions has promoted Andrew Doole to president of U.S. boat shows.

Informa is the company behind the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), Miami Yacht Show and the Palm Beach International Boat Show, which are among the largest in-water boat shows in the world. Its U.S. operations are based in Fort Lauderdale.

Previously VP and general manager for U.S. boat shows for Informa, Doole is responsible for overall coordination of exhibitions, including government relations, industry partnerships, exhibitor relations, sales, production and growth strategies.

Doole began his career in boat show production in 1982 after immigrating to Florida from London to join Show Management, the longtime organizer of FLIBS that was acquired by Informa in 2017. He was previously Show Management's VP of sales and chief operating officer.

Doole is also the longest-serving member of the International Super Yacht Society's board of directors and is on the boards of the Marine Industries Association of South Florida and Fort Lauderdale's Winterfest.

Informa organizes 200 annual trade and consumer exhibitions across multiple industries. It is also behind the St. Petersburg Boat Show and Suncoast Boat Show in Sarasota.
