Welcome to 2015! The year is starting off with a bang and you will understand why after looking at all the upcoming FYBA events listed in this month’s eCompass.

Tonight, Wednesday is the “Meet & Greet” at Timpano’s on Las Olas, where you will be able to talk with the 2015/2016 FYBA Board of Director candidates who are up for election and also network with your peers. Tomorrow is our Third Thursday Open House, where we will have a strong lineup of yachts for your viewing pleasure. (As most of you know, there will not be another Open House until April due to the Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami Beach and the Palm Beach International Boat Show in February and March respectively.)

The FYBA Annual Dinner on January 30^th at Pier 66 is THE event of the year! The Annual General Meeting takes place first, followed by a wonderful dinner and dancing in the ballroom. The new FYBA Board of Directors will be announced and our 2014 sponsors will be highlighted and thanked for their generous support. If past Annual Dinners are any indication, everyone who attends will have a terrific time!!

Since the FYBA is such an active association with so many events and news to get out to our members, we are hoping to cut down a little on our “blast” emails by sending you this digital monthly newsletter, eCompass. Please note that you will be able to register for all the upcoming FYBA Events online directly from eCompass. In order avoid too much duplication of content between the digital newsletter and our beautiful bi-monthly print magazine, Compass, we encourage you to send us article submissions on topics of interest to the yacht brokerage and charter community, as well as your company news and updates.
