FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – The International Yacht Brokers Association (IYBA) has announced its new board of directors for the 2020 year. IYBA is the world’s largest trade association for the yacht brokerage and charter industry.

IYBA is proud to name Jon Burkard of Allied Marine and Chuck Cashman of MarineMax as new members of the board. These individuals were nominated and elected by Professional Members of the association. Through monthly board meetings along with committee positions, board members are committed to the betterment of the association and industry.

The stated purpose of IYBA is to promote professionalism and cooperation through education, networking and the removal of barriers to commerce. The bylaws of the association establish a code of ethics and encourages best practices when engaging in transactions with other member brokers. IYBA is the co-owner of the Miami Yacht Show that takes place every year in February in downtown Miami, Florida. IYBA maintains a presence at important industry events, owns and operates the only industry owned MLS system, hosts www.iyba.org providing tools for their members and monitors legislation to enhance and grow the yachting industry as a whole.
