MY K584: Her Elegant Beauty is Now Crossing the Seas
Project K584 was delivered by CPN & Yachting Expertise in Ancona last July 31st right on the contractual delivery date to her excited Owners that immediately took the sea to enjoy their maiden voyage.
Despite Covid-19, CPN & Yachting Expertise delivered K-584 right on contractual time, outperforming during the July sea-trials that confirmed and consolidated all expected extraordinary performances in terms of comfort onboard during navigation and extremely low consumption levels. The contract was signed at beginning of June 2018 and K584 left Ancona after less of 25 months from that date thanks to a very accurate project planning.
The story begins back late 2017, when the dream of the Italian Owners met the pencil and vision of Andrea Vallicelli and Alessandro Nazareth from the Andrea Vallicelli Design firm. The Owners’ main intention was to travel the world onboard an efficient, safe vessel without redundancies and with the highest level of comfort in a beautiful and relaxing environment.
They were looking for an original design, with a masculine and solid look, and a bit of military flavor. This was given by a not faired steel hull finished in grey and a red stylized “K” towards the bow to further characterize the vessel’s personality. The outcome is a modern and elegant multipurpose explorer yacht.
The Owners’ passion for professional diving and the discovery of remote places required the vessel to include a tender, along with all the necessary diving equipment necessary for unforgettable and secure underwater experiences around the world. Their 6-meter Tideman tender is operated by a 2,0 tons HS-Marine crane able to support all the launching and hauling operations with secure and fast sequences.
CPN Shipyards of Ancona, owned by the Belardinelli family, was naturally selected as considered the perfect partner for the build of K584. CPN, a very solid and well-managed company with an excellent reputation within the yachting industry, is a shipyard with a long and successful experience in the custom yacht building and an extraordinary track record.
Cristiana Belardinelli, owner of CPN, said “it has been an amazing and very challenging experience to go through the full design, development and building process, lived very directly also by the clients. Looking at this brilliant jewel like K584 leaving our dock and taking the sea on August 1st made myself and our family so proud, a truly priceless moment”.
The team of Yachting Expertise, headed by Gianluca Fenucci and Antonio Longobardi, was responsible for the overall project development and took care of all technical aspects, including the naval architecture and the construction engineering in partnership with several other companies, including the Dutch Marin for tank test and hull optimization design. Lorenzo Barbini of Yachting Expertise also played a key role in coordinating the interior engineering and systems & structure integration.
Gianluca Fenucci is very happy and proud of the trust given to Yachting Expertise by both CPN and the Owners to develop, drive, coordinate and oversee this ambitious project. He said: “K584 is a great and unique story of human relationship, ambition, professionalism, respect, intense teamwork and the love for the work
we do since three decades, always with the same professionalism, passion and dedication. Yachting Expertise had the responsibility to keep all these values well balanced and timely deliver a very innovative project that we trust will raise the bar to another level with her personality, elegance and amazing performance. She is a beauty, strong, very efficient and very easy to be operated. What else do you need to be happy and enjoy yachting? Today we are very satisfied to have been able to reach once again the difficult task to make “everybody happy”, including ourselves at YE, and to be back to the yachting arena with a project that is different from everything else and that will set a new standard.”
During the official sea-trials, the recorded levels of comfort in navigation at any speed was second to none, having the noise and vibrations levels at an incredible low level due to the great efforts and the investments dedicated to this matter during the design and the construction processes. The Owners participated to all the sea-trial sessions and were amazed about the smooth, silent, efficient and stable cruise.
“For an Owner’s perspective, the realization of a project like K584 starts with a dream that you try to transform into reality. You start by listening to your heart and after using your brain. Three intense years with all the parties involved are totally focused to reach the best results with regard to style, technical performance and seaworthiness. Almost three years that make the shipyard your second home, this is the feeling my wife and me had. Now that all personal, technical and comfort expectations have been exceeded, we have the privilege and great pleasure to enjoy this superb jewel. Viva CPN, viva K584, we look forward to the next challenge.”, said the Owner.
After a deep analysis of all the sea trials results, Antonio Longobardi was very satisfied to record the exceeding of all contractual expectations, mainly with regards to the noise and vibration data that reached a milestone level of his long-standing career in superyacht building.
THE INTERIOR STYLE & LAYOUT
The modern but cozy interior of this explorer yacht was designed by Architect Pierluigi Floris, who worked closely with the Owners to customize all K584’s interior elements.
K584 features a bright and spacious main salon on the main deck, leading to the main galley at starboard side and to the main foyer on port side that is connected to a gym and the VIP cabin forward. The aft upper deck is completely dedicated to the Owners stateroom with a private outdoor terrace protected by a structural awning that is integrated in the yacht superstructure. On this terrace with almost 360-degree view, the external mirrored glasses create an extraordinary reflection effect. The VIP cabin and two more Guest cabins are located on the lower deck for a total occupancy of 10 guests.
The crew amenities are located at midship with 3 cabins, separate laundry room equipped with professional units and a crew dinette seating arrangement for 5 crew. A customized 6 cubic meters cold room with separate fridge and freezer options is located in the crew quarter to support long trips food needs.
